The iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans is the inspiration for the Le Mans Classic; a celebration of the cars and companies that have helped shape the greatest endurance race of all time. Bentley has a rich history at the race, with six wins and a significant number of podium finishes, the brand features strongly at the biennial vintage sports car event held on the grounds of the famous competition.

With 700 racing cars on the track and 8,000 classic cars displayed in specially designed enclosures, this year’s event on 3–6 July will take enthusiasts and fans on a fascinating trip back in time. The 235,000 spectators will watch some of Bentley’s own customers racing their Mulliner Speed Six Continuation Series and Blower Continuation Series cars, supported by our Motorsport Team.

The rare Mulliner Coachbuilt Continuation Series cars are built to race and will be seen where they truly belong – on the track. The Blower Continuation Series car is a faithful reproduction of the iconic Supercharged 4½ Litre ‘Blower’ that astounded spectators and racing enthusiasts across the world with its dramatic pulse-raising performances – and its daring, pioneering spirit lives on. The Speed Six Continuation Series car is another recreation by our expert Mulliner coachbuilders of the 6½ Litre Bentley Speed Six that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans back in 1930.

THE ESSENTIAL PREPARATION

As our racing spirit continues, the Bentley Motorsport team is supporting our customers by entering them as a Factory Works Team at Le Mans Classic. We will ensure their vehicles are fully prepared to race standards and be there for every lap of the qualifying and racing sessions.

The customers have worked hard to get their cars on the track, and this will be the first time the three Blower Continuation Series and one Speed Six Continuation Series cars have been entered into the same race. In fact, this is the first time ever that a Speed Six vehicle will race at the Le Mans Circuit. While two customers have sought the expertise of a professional racing driver to pilot their cars, two customers have impressively gained their own racing licences so they can drive their cars themselves and fully experience this breathtaking opportunity.
